The following policies exist to ensure the best collaborative experience for you and the biostatistician and to provide transparency regarding rate development, timelines, and work expectations. Please contact the CBC Director if you have any questions.
The hourly rates are set annually, effective July 1. Total project costs are estimated on Scopes of Work and billed through "iLab Solutions" as phases of the work are completed.
For a grant proposals, we suggest 2 months in advance. But if your time frame is shorter than that, don't hesitate to contact us, and we'll see what we can do to help you.
The CBC does not replace collaborative research conducted in the Department of Biostatistics and Informatics or other departments, but provides a means to organize requests, facilitates matching requests to expertise, and provides ongoing capacity for biostatisticians to be available.
We adhere to the ICMJE policy in matters of authorship.
If the CBC assists with the grant application, then the biostatistician is listed as key personnel. The biostatistics budget is collaboratively determined by the biostatistician and the PI.
We are aware of the current funding climate and understand that entire grant budgets are routinely cut. It is expected that the percent reduction in the biostatistics budget, if any, will be no greater than the overall grant reduction percent.
