Grant Preparation

General policy

It is expected that the biostatistician contribute to all aspects of the application process from developing the aims, mapping them to testable hypotheses, justifying the study design, justifying the sample size, and developing and writing the analysis plan. They should write significant portions of the applicable sections of the application. Thus, they are key personnel on the proposal development and are generally listed as a co-investigator on the grant with appropriate FTE. In addition, the biostatistician will charge a Colorado School of Public Health (CSPH) computer usage fee to cover computational and software expenses. This charge is set by the CBC and CSPH and set at a per FTE rate.
