What is a strategic partnership?
A strategic partnership creates a contract between the CBC and your group for providing primarily non-grant funding research development work or analysis for unfunded projects. Groups can fund all of the hourly rate for a specific set of investigators or we can work on a cost sharing amount, where you subsidize the individual's cost for using the CBC.
The benefit of this arrangement is that:
- the CBC will provide a point statistician for the group, which facilitates collaboration formation;
- in times of high demand or if specialized expertise is needed, then other CBC biostatisticians can be called in to provide support;
- you can specify up front the amount of money you want dedicated to biostatistics support for your investigators.
Accessing the partnership rate is easy for the investigator. They follow the same process as normal for submitting a request. We still develop a scope of work. They will be offered the individual level rate if they are on a list provided in the contract. Prior to beginning work, the administrative support for the contract from your group can approve the scope of work if pre-monitoring is desired. The CBC provides reports of projects and investigators helped.
We will work with you to determine the level of biostatistics needed for your group.
We have strategic partnerships with the CCTSI, Univerity of Colorado Cancer Center, School of Dental Medicine, Maternal and Fetal Medicine Fellowship Program of SOM: Ob/Gyn, and other programs.
