Tamara Cadet


Tamara Cadet, PhD, LICSW, MPH is an Assistant Professor at the Simmons College School of Social Work. She also holds a Lecturer appointment in the Oral Health Policy and Epidemiology Department at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine.  Dr. Cadet focuses her research on evidence-based health interventions aimed to reduce health disparities among underserved populations. Specifically, she examines the facilitators and barriers to reducing disparities in preventative health behaviors and health care service utilization with a focus on oncology, gerontology, and oral health. Dr. Cadet is currently conducting an investigation of the psychosocial and socio-cultural impact of health disparities and the burden of cancer among older minority adults through the National Institutes of Health Loan Repayment Award Program.
