M. Lupinek received his Ph.D. in Kinesiology at the University of Minnesota in
2015 and is currently an Assistant Professor within the School of Management at
the University of Alaska Fairbanks. Understanding the benefits of virtual
reality technology in rural Alaska and their impact on health and well-being is
the focus of his research. He uses a both quantitative and qualitative research
methodologies in his work. Dr. Lupinek is also known for his scholarship on
brand community, social network analysis, sport marketing, and fantasy sport
fields. His articles have been accepted in leading journals including Sport Marketing Quarterly and the Journal of Sport Media.
