Alyssa Robillard


 

Alyssa Robillard is an Associate Professor in the Health Promotion, Education and Behavior Department in the Arnold School of Public Health at the University of South Carolina.  A health educator by training, she received her undergraduate degree from Xavier University of Louisiana.  She earned her PhD in Health Education and Health Promotion from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Public Health. Dr. Robillard is committed to the principles of health education to improve individual and community health.  Her research focuses on adolescents, women, HIV, and issues affecting minority and incarcerated populations. Currently, she is exploring the use of cultural narratives in health promotion for HIV. She has been designated a Health Disparities Scholar with the National Center on Minority Health and Health Disparities.
