Ka'imi Sinclair


Ka'imi is an Assistant Professor at Washington State University, Institute for Institute for Research and Education to Advance Community Health (IREACH). For the past 2 decades, she has developed, implemented, and evaluated culturally adapted health promotion and disease prevention interventions with several health disparity populations, including American Indians across the US, African Americans and Latinos in Detroit, and Native Hawaiians and Pacific Islanders in Hawai`i and Washington. Her translational research blends the rigor of randomized controlled trials with a community-based approach. She is the PI of 3 studies being conducted with American Indian communities, and a co-investigator or project lead on a number of other federally funded studies.​
