Janessa Graves

Janessa M. Graves, PhD, MPH, Assistant Professor in the College of Nursing at Washington State University-Spokane, is a health services researcher with expertise in pediatric and occupational injury. She holds a Master of Public Health degree in Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences and a PhD in Health Services Research from the University of Washington School of Public Health.  Following her graduate work, Dr. Graves completed a 2-year postdoctoral fellowship in pediatric injury research at the Harborview Injury Prevention and Research Center (HIPRC). Dr. Graves' research interests focus on effectiveness, cost, and equity in healthcare for children and adolescents with concussion and traumatic brain injury, sports-related injuries, and occupational injuries. She is particularly interested in examining disparities in pediatric injury incidence and outcomes by rurality.
