To prevent the health problems associated with injury and violence and its outcomes in the United States.

To enhance national capacity of practitioners, leaders and their organizations to prevent injury and violence through effective education, networks and technical assistance.
  • To help individuals become more effective at preventing injury and violence by building skills and knowledge in this area.
  • To make organizations more effective in preventing injury and violence.
  • To encourage the public health community (local, state and national) to become more aware of injury and violence prevention efforts.
  • To build a sustainable infrastructure for training, networking and technical assistance.
