All proposals for acquisition of specimens and clinical data will be initially sent to the DCC who will then distribute to the RRC members to review.
The Research Review Committee (RRC) consists of the Principal Investigators from each of the recruiting Clinical Centers and Data Coordinating Center, a DOE representative, the Steering Committee Chair as well as a majority of scientists and physicians invited by DOE to sit on the committee. The RRC will meet by teleconference at least quarterly or more frequently if required to review research proposals.
Expedited Review Process: The DCC will determine if your protocol qualifies for expedited review. For example, proposals requesting data only, will qualify for expedited review.

The DCC will notify investigators as to wheater the applicaiton was approved or denied. Upon approving a request based, the DCC and NJH will coordinate the release of the appropriate clinical data and specimens for shipment.
