About Evidence-Based Health Care

and the Annual Workshop

Since 1999, the Rocky Mountain Workshop on How to Practice Evidence-Based Health Care (EBHC Workshop) has been training health care practitioners, policy makers, consumer advocates, medical journalists and public health professionals from around the world.

This five-day workshop is held each summer in the Rocky Mountains.  Directed by Andy Oxman, Senior Researcher from the Norwegian Knowledge Centre for the Health Services, and Judith Baxter, from the Colorado School of Public Health at the University of Colorado Denver, this workshop features a cadre of world-renowned teachers, practitioners and researchers from the arena of evidence-based health care.

The workshop is designed around a small-group learning format, with general interest plenaries each day.  Participants are encouraged to bring examples or issues from their work, as the small group agenda is determined by the attendees.
