Admissions Process & Instructions
To apply for admission to the Colorado School of Public Health master of public health program, applicants are required to complete the online (SOPHAS) application.* All application materials should be submitted directly to SOPHAS. International applicants must also complete the requirements outlined in our International Admissions process.
As of October 1, 2019, the GRE test will no longer be
required for admission to the Master of Public Health (MPH) and Doctor of Public
Health (DrPH) Programs at the Colorado School of Public Health.
*Exception: Some dual degree seeking students, occupational medicine residency, preventive medicine residency, and some fellowship applicants are required to follow different application processes. Please see your individual program page for details on application instructions. You must have received a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. Additionally, you must submit official transcripts to SOPHAS from every insitution you have attended.

have attended evaluated by World Education Services.
You must have obtained a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00 on a 4.00 scale. If your GPA is below 3.00, you should include an explanation of why it fell below the minimum score and how you plan to address any prior academic deficiences. 2
3 letters of recommendation are required. We highly encourage at least one letter come from a faculty member who can attest to your academic performance.6
Your personal statement should be 2 pages in length, single spaced, and should address your career goals and purpose for applying to the program. Please make sure to include any past work/internship/volunteer experience and reasoning for how this program will serve your future goals.
Please include a section at the bottom of your personal statement entitled Academic Preparation Statement. In this section, you should highlight evidence of your verbal and quantitative abilities. If your concentration has specific requirements and/or preferred qualifications, please address how your previous coursework and/or experiences fulfill them. 4

For scholarship consideration and optional summer enrollment, applicants are strongly encouraged to apply by the preferred application deadline. Those applying after the preferred deadline are only eligible for fall semester enrollment and will be considered for admission on a space available basis.
