Nov. 7 & 8: Public Health Case Competition open to all health students

Following the successful launch of the Rocky Mountain Region Public Health Case Competition on the CU Anschutz Medical Campus last spring, ColoradoSPH's Student Council has decided to open their fall event to all other schools and colleges on the medical campus, as well as undergraduate public health students in Colorado. On Nov. 7, 96 undergraduate and graduate students placed onto 6-person teams will be given a public health case and have 24 hours to prepare a solution. Presentations will commence at 3pm on Nov. 8.

ColoradoSPH now enrolling for CU's South Denver expansion

This fall, ColoradoSPH will begin offering courses as part of CU's South Denver expansion at The Wildlife Experience. ColoradoSPH courses are tailored for busy health professionals and may be applied to certificate programs or a graduate degree in public health. A nine credit-hour course sequence in Health Industry Analytics will provide the skills necessary to optimize health system performance and outcomes. All courses are taught by faculty from our Department of Health Systems, Management & Policy.

Nearly 500 people turn out for ColoradoSPH's first two public health symposiums

Experts from the vast spectrum of industry, academia, and research gathered to discuss the medical and public policy implications of two of Colorado's timely public health topics this year. The first focused on our new cannabis laws and the drug's impact, while our summer symposium focused on the public health and environmental impacts of oil and gas development.
