Marcelo Coca Perraillon, PhD

Biography:
 

Marcelo Coca Perraillon, PhD, is an assistant professor in the Department of Health, Systems, Management & Policy. His research interest focuses on program and economic evaluations of health interventions and applied statistical methods. His current research relates to the nursing home sector, particularly studying the effects of public reporting of quality on consumer and provider behavior and cancer care in nursing homes. Other areas of current research involve economic evaluations and mixture models for the prediction of health utilities in cost-effectiveness. Much of his work involves statistical modeling using large panel data sets and observational data.

Before obtaining his doctoral degree at the University of Chicago, he was a researcher at the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER). Dr. Perraillon is a current member of the Center for Health Statistics at the University of Chicago.  [Personal website].
