What makes you passionate about or interested in biostatistics?

Biostatistics research cannot be separated from the people that the studies intend to help. When I see a new cancer treatment that is working in a population (based on the statistical analysis I have conducted), I get excited. In genetics research, I love to help narrow down the genes partially responsible for causing a disease. Every discovery is about helping the people who currently suffer under the burden of disease!
