The University of Colorado Denver Anschutz Medical Campus requires a tuition deposit of $200.00 for all entering students. This deposit will be refunded back to you during your first term of enrollment as long as you do not have an outstanding balance.
The $200.00 deposit should not be paid until after you have received your Graduate School admission packet which will provide you with instructions for submitting the fee.
The leadership of the Anschutz Medical Campus endorsed a policy that requires criminal background checks for all entering professional and graduate degree students. Students are required to submit a signed consent form and a $65 fee to the Graduate School for conducting the background check prior to your arrival and registration at the Anschutz Medical Campus. In addition to the fee, there is a consent form for the background check. The consent form and instructions will be included in your Graduate School admission packet.
The $65.00 background check fee should not be paid until after you have received your Graduate School admission packet which will provide you with instructions for submitting the fee.
All new students accepted to degree programs at the University of Colorado Denver Anschutz Medical Campus are required to submit proof of current immunizations to the Graduate School (including pending immunizations in a series). The University immunization form and the instructions for completion of the form will be included as part of your Graduate School admission packet.

All incoming basic science students will be required to complete an on-line orientation through the Graduate School. Information regarding the procedures for accessing the orientation will be sent to you as part of your Graduate School admission packet.
Your program will contact you directly to provide you with information regarding their program orientation process.
To claim a locker for the semester you must first place a lock (locks not provided) on your selected locker (one per student) and then email your information to: ESS.AMCStudentlockers@ucdenver.edu
Please include your name, school of enrollment, the locker number and building in which the locker is located, an e-mail address, and a convenient number at which to reach you.
Educational Support Services will be conducting random checks of lockers to determine if lockers are being used that have not been registered. If you use a locker and fail to register it with ESS, the lock may be removed and contents disposed. Each Student may not put locks on more than one locker. The lockers in the Research Complex I North Building on the first floor are day-use lockers only. If used, please clear out on a daily basis.
At the end of each semester all items must be cleared out of the lockers. All locks left on after the end of the semester will be removed and contents of locker will be disposed of. If you are attending classes during the summer and need a locker, use the email address above to re-register for locker use. If you have any questions, please contact the Education Support Services Department at 303-724-8114.
Contact your graduate program administrator for information pertinent to your individual registration requirements. Completing registration during your program orientation may depend upon your specific program’s policy.
In addition to the mandatory Graduate School on-line orientation, international students will have an orientation with the International Student Services Office (ISSO). The International Office will contact you directly to set up your international student orientation with their office.
In the admission materials sent to you by the Graduate School there is a document entitled “Notice of Eligibility for Admission to the Graduate School”.
