New First-Year/Freshmen Students

Welcome to CU Denver!
If you are a newly admitted first-year Freshman student for the Spring 2017 semester in January, you are in the right place.  Please read and follow the steps below for your initial advising requirements.

**PLEASE NOTE that for students accepted to start in the Summer or Fall 2017 semesters, your orientation cycle will begin in March of 2017.  Please check back here at that time. **

  • Attend or complete a New Student Orientation.  Please contact the Lynx Center at (303) 315-3503 to find out more details about New Student Orientation dates.

  • In order to ensure you’re best prepared to meet with CLAS Advising at orientation, please first complete the Pre-Advising Module accessed via the link below. Doing this work beforehand will make your initial registration process go more smoothly and quickly and will prompt our team to review any AP, IB or previous college course work.

Instructions For Accessing Pre-Advising Module

  1. Before you begin, please download the corresponding handouts packet here.  These handouts will be reviewed and explained in the module.

  2. Make sure you have your CU Denver credentials before starting on the pre-advising module. This is the same log-in username and password you use for the student portal and CU Denver email. If you have not received your log-in yet, please visit My Account to set up your username and password.

  3. Click on the link below. It will first ask for your CU Denver email. Once that is entered, you will then be prompted to complete your log in. **Please note that this module cannot be completed using a mobile device.  It can only be completed on laptop or desktop computers**

*Please note that if you are undeclared, pre-business, or pre-engineering, pre-architecture, and not a declared CLAS Major, you will need to contact the Academic Success & Advising Center (ASAC) at (303)315-1940 for advising information.
