Students interested in teacher education will major in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (CLAS). The State of Colorado does not allow for an undergraduate major in Education. UEDU4930 is considered an exploratory internship that allows you to experience the world of education first hand in one of our partner schools to determine if an education career is right for you. To do this internship you must have completed 12 credits at UCD and have earned a 2.75 UCD GPA. The internship is only open to students working on an undergraduate license program or who have declared the Educational Studies minor. Please see the education CLAS advisor to discuss UEDU4930 for the deadlines and details for enrolling in the internship.
No, your licensure courses count toward your BA. Courses can only count toward one degree. However, we do allow undergraduates to take up to 9 MA/Endorsement credit hours in the School of Education and Human Development so you can begin your advanced degree at undergraduate tuition rates.
