Physics, as the most fundamental of the sciences, is the base on which many other disciplines rest. Thinking "outside the box" in physics research has resulted in the development of a multitude of technologies that enhance our lives, and this tradition lives on at UC Denver, where students work elbow-to-elbow with their professor mentors in substantive applied research experiences.
The physics major is one of the few academic degree programs that prepares its graduates for an amazing array of careers. Physicists are renowned for their logical thought, analytical minds, problem solving skills and mathematical ability.
