Bio

Dr. Wyckoff has served as the Director of the graduate program in Environmental Sciences since 2002 and as Chair of the Department of Geography and Environmental Sciences between 1994 and 2000. Dr. Wyckoff has also served on many committees at UCD and is currently the Chair of the UCD DDC Faculty Assembly. His research interests are interdisciplinary in nature, combining his background in both geography and biology. In recent years his research has focused on the use of geographic information systems (GIS) for spatial modeling of wildlife habitat. This work has largely been funded by the Colorado Department of Transportation. Dr. Wyckoff's teaching has been evenly divided between systematic courses in the natural/physical sciences (e.g. Physical Geography) and technique courses (e.g. Environmental Remote Sensing); however, in his 36 years of university teaching, he has taught more than 20 different classes.
