Diversity Matters: Explore. Engage. Envision.
All staff and faculty from the University of Colorado Denver | Anschutz Medical Campus are cordially invited to attend this event. Unlike typical summits, we will not have keynote speakers or workshops. Instead, we will provide a communal space just for our staff and faculty that will include exhibits, interactive activities, and discussion opportunities. This format will allow us to learn about resources, share experiences, and generate ideas for further optimizing our phenomenal potential as a diverse and inclusive institution.
Visit exhibits that will address the following questions: How do we define diversity? Why does diversity matter to our university? What are current diversity statistics at our institution? How are we striving to be a more diverse and inclusive institution?
Meet staff, faculty, and students who are working on diversity matters in multiple ways (e.g., student services, teaching, scholarship, research, pipeline projects, and outreach). Participate in interactive learning activities to deepen your awareness of diversity matters. Discuss individual experiences and ideas related to diversity matters with other attendees.
Participate in facilitated small group conversations to create a community vision for diversity and inclusion at the University of Colorado Denver | Anschutz Medical Campus.
