The health Professions Opportunity Day (hPod) is a partnership between the Office of Inclusion and Outreach and Center for Pre-Collegiate and Academic Outreach Programs. hPod is a day-long pre-health and research profession program which is open to any middle school and high school students participating in one of the Pre-Collegiate programs offered by any of the CU-system campuses. This event brings together 300 diverse middle school and high school students from around the front range area that offers an in-depth look at the different health professions available at the Anschutz Medical Campus. Activities include hands-on workshops, speakers, and sessions that will introduce students to different health fields and opportunities in higher education. Students are presented with the opportunity to explore the many possibilities in the health careers and learn about the educational path one must take to reach his or her ultimate goal of becoming a health care professional. Interested students can contact their pre-collegiate coordinator to learn about the program. Event usually takes place on a Saturday during the month of April.
