Born in Japan yet raised in a Chinese household, Kevin Huang is a currently a second-year student at the University of Colorado Denver pursuing a Chemistry Major with a Business Minor. From a young age, Kevin has always expressed an interest in the health field, but it wasn’t until Alzheimer’s took his Grandmother that he became resolute in his goal to become a physician. Kevin hopes the UPP internship will provide new insight in the clinical and laboratory environment that will build upon prior experience at National Jewish Health and also aid in his development to become a compassionate and caring health care provider. He sees medicine as the avenue that will allow him to continue serving people, to mitigate their suffering, and to not only give them the chance to survive, but also the capacity to thrive.
Kevin also works as a high school tutor for the SAT and various AP tests at Good Morning Education. In his spare time, he enjoys playing tennis and the violin as well as making meaningful conversation in the presence of good company.
