UPP 2013-2014 Cohort

Jesse Danielle Henderson, pre-health student in the University of Colorado Denver, recently accepted the offer to join the 2013-14 cohort of the Undergraduate Pre-health Program. Her academic career began at Red Rocks Community College, where she earned an Associates of Science Degree with Honors as well as acceptance into Phi Theta Kappa Honors Society. In summer of 2012 she attended CREATE Health Scholars, a pre-health program designed to provide a more intensive education regarding the healthcare industry in Colorado. At CU Denver, Jesse is majoring in Biology with two minors, in Spanish and Health Humanities. To further her interest of Health Humanities, she serves as founding and active president for the Health and Humanities Club. Jesse’s future goals include entering the medical field to serve in pediatrics and specialize in pediatric plastic surgery. Furthermore, her desire is to include all aspects of humanities into her career and to work for her community by implementing, understanding and considering diversity of the cultures around her. Jesse lives in Boulder, Colorado, where she and her husband, Mason, enjoy running, hiking, working in ceramic and visual arts, as well as actively volunteering
