Roshan Patel

Undergraduate Pre-Health Program | 2012-2013 Cohort

Major: Biology

Expected Graduation Date: Spring 2013

Roshan Patel graduated high school as the class Valedictorian and has made the Dean’s List multiple times during his career at the University of Colorado Denver. Roshan is also a student with the University Honor’s and Leadership Program at CU Denver. Roshan has recently decided to use his knowledge of biology to help teach other students at the University of Colorado Denver. Roshan was part of the first cohort for the Learning Assistant Program. As an LA, Roshan was placed in a General Biology II class where he was in charge of 30 students and acted as their supplementary teacher during the semester. Roshan was also in charge of making changes and improvements to specific lectures during the semester.  Roshan applied to the Undergraduate Pre-Health Program because he felt it was a great opportunity to learn more about the diverse career options in the health care profession. Roshan is very excited to work with Kaiser Permanente and learn more about their exceptional health care system. Interestingly, Roshan used to race motorcycles and currently plays three instruments proficiently (guitar, bass guitar, and piano/keyboards).
