Rachel Ancar

Undergraduate Pre-Health Program | 2011-2012 Cohort

Rachel Ancar is a current student in the University of Colorado School of Medicine, pursuing degrees in Biology and History. She has been very excited to be part of UPP, because this program offers its fellows amazing experiential learning opportunities and education on a diverse range of healthcare issues. Rachel believes that such educational experiences are invaluable, which is why she is currently volunteering in a GED class at her local library. Tae Kwon Do has also been a passion of Rachel’s for more than six years. She is part of the Leadership Team at her martial arts school, and had been planning on testing for her third-degree black belt Fall 2011. At CU Denver, Rachel stays involved as vice president of the student club associated with the University Honors and Leadership Program. As a future physician, she hopes that her experiences will help her to become a leader in the healthcare field.
