Dominic F. Martinez is the Senior Director of the Office of Inclusion and Outreach at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. Before becoming the Director, Dominic served as the Assistant and Associate Director of the Office. In which he has now been with this office for over seven years. Prior to his arrival to CU, Dominic worked at the University of Wyoming as the Assistant Director of Admission and coordinator of Minority Student Recruitment for over four years. Dominic graduated from the University of Wyoming with a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Secondary Education with an emphasis in Multicultural History and Student Movements. In the Fall of 2010, Dominic graduated with a Masters of Arts degree in Religious Studies with an emphasis in diversity, identities, religious text and Mormonism from the Department of Religious Studies at the University of Colorado Boulder. He is now pursuing a Doctorate degree in Leadership for Educational Equity at CU Denver. Dominic and his wife are proud parents of three beautiful children.

Christian Valtierra is the Assistant Director for Pipeline Programs and Outreach of the Office of Inclusion and Outreach at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. Prior to his arrival to CU, Christian worked at Colorado State University as the Assistant Director for In-State Recruitment in the Office of Admissions. He also worked for the University of Nebraska-Lincoln as the Assistant Director for Multicultural Recruitment, Office of Admissions. Christian graduated from the University of Wyoming with a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Secondary Education along with a Minor in African-American Studies. Christian is continuing his education and is currently finishing up his Masters of Education in Educational Administration-Student Affairs at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Christian is bilingual and was originally born in Leon, Mexico, but calls the beautiful state of Wyoming home where he spent the majority of his childhood.

Medhat A. Ahmed is the Coordinator of the Office of Inclusion and Outreach at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. He received his B.A. from the University of Colorado Boulder and currently pursuing a Masters in Public Health leading to a doctorate at the Colorado School of Public Health. Prior to assuming his role at the university, Medhat worked at Pearson Education and the University of Colorado Boulder Office of Admissions as an Admissions Counselor and subsequently became the Director of the Daniels Scholars Program at CU Boulder. He has combined his formal education and professional experience at the Office of Admissions and the CU Boulder Daniels Scholars Program to create successful programs and activities. Medhat has an enduring interest in post baccalaureate education, and in addition to his role as the Coordinator of the Office of Inclusion and Outreach he serves on many committees and collaborative commissions. He is especially committed to increasing the presence of disadvantaged and underrepresented minorities in post baccalaureate programs and the health professions. As he is passionate and ardent advocate for the strategic development of programs serving historically disadvantaged and underrepresented students. Born and raised in Sudan, Medhat brings in a unique personal perspective having spent a significant portion of his life growing up overseas. Since moving to the United States, Medhat calls the beautiful State of Colorado his second home.

Vicky Saulsberry is the Administrative Assistant of the Office of Inclusion and Outreach at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. Prior to that, she worked for the University of Colorado College of Nursing for 10 years. She has been employed with the University for over 18 years. She recently received her Associate Degree in Applied Sciences, with a Management and Human Resources Emphasis. She is currently enrolled at Metropolitan State University of Denver to earn a Bachelor’s Degree. Aside from working, and going to school, she enjoys spending time with her husband, and her four children.
