University Life serves a central role in creating opportunities for students to engage in diverse experiences designed to empower students to achieve their greatest academic and personal potential.
We offer an array of resources and expertise in student activities and events, student leadership, housing, health, wellness and safety, community standards and sports/recreation. The staff promotes student participation in campus life, advocates for student needs and provides information and referrals to current and prospective students, faculty, parents and alumni.
The Downtown recreational center offers open gym sessions, group fitness classes, Outdoor Adventure and Healthy Moves programs, intramural sports, and personal training. The AMC Student Assistance Office provides on-campus equipment checkout and coordinates intramural sports.
This office promotes and coordinates campus community standards, student rights and responsibilities, campus safety, conflict management and resolution, Campus Village (housing), and student-centered services related to a healthy campus environment.
The GLBT office provides tri-institutional support, educational services, and advocacy for students, faculty, and staff. Information on sexual orientation and gender identity, a speaker’s bureau, training workshops, and campus and community events.
The HCA provides tri-Institutional medical services for students, faculty, and staff, comprehensive primary care, immunizations, an onsite medicine dispensary, and specialty care for psychiatry, gynecology, and orthopedics.
The SCCC provides comprehensive mental health counseling services to UCD students and the Denver metro community and provides fully confidential evaluation and treatment options.
The SAO at AMC provides a wide range of services, including information and referral; campus ambassadors for tours; a student recognition program; individualized academic tutoring; coordination of team sports and recreational equipment checkout, and oversight of Student Senate and interdisciplinary student organizations.
The student health insurance managers at the Downtown and AMC campuses assist students with medical and dental insurance plans, immunization provision and compliance, insurance claims issues, wellness education, and mental health services.
The Student Life Office promotes student engagement in a variety of campus and community opportunities, including co-curricular activities, cultural and entertainment events, student government and organizations, leadership programs, and community service.
A full range of psychiatric difficulties are confidentially evaluated and treated by a provider team of two psychiatrists, a LCSW, and a clinical nurse specialist.
