The APPE program is an important part of the PharmD curriculum and consists of eight 6-week rotations that begin the summer following completion of the third year of studies. Rotations include real-life clinical experiences, while rotating through hospitals, pharmacies, and specialty clinics in and outside of Colorado. Students work under the supervision of preceptors during each rotation, receiving essential on-the-job training and experience, while being exposed to a variety of fields.
