Residents-Patients-Families

You can help improve how we care for nursing home residents.

If you're a resident of a long-term care facility (or a family member or caregiver of a resident), we want to hear from you. We’re currently looking for volunteers to help us with existing research projects. You can also share your experience and insight. Your feedback helps us design new projects that can address your biggest concerns.

Nursing home research makes the care you receive better.

When you see your doctor, he or she follows a set of best practices called “evidence-based care.” Medical research is important because it informs evidence-based care. Yet there hasn’t been much research done nursing homes, meaning we lack evidence on how to best care for people like you and those who love you!

It’s easy for residents and family members to volunteer.

There are many ways to get involved.

  1. Volunteer to participate in a research study.

  2. Volunteer to give us feedback on research study proposals.

  3. Share your thoughts and insight as a community member on our Stakeholder Advisory Board.

Tell us a little about yourself, your interests and how you would like to help.

Most of our current research takes place in Colorado. If you live outside of Colorado, you can still sign up to be contacted about research opportunities.
