Dr. Rapport specializes in pediatric physical therapy with emphasis in school-based physical therapy and early intervention services. Currently, she provides early intervention in the child’s/family’s natural environment (homes and community settings for children birth-3 years). Her interests include education and disability law and policy.
Funded Activity
Robinson C (PI), Colorado Leadership and Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (CO-LEND). US Department of Health and Human Services, Maternal Child Health Bureau (MCHB). Role: Physical Therapy Discipline Director, 10% FTE, 2011-2016. This grant supports education, training, and professional preparation of trainees and fellows from multiple disciplines who will focus their service provision on children with developmental disabilities or autism and their families.
Valvano J (PI), Carollo J (Co-PI),Manual Task Analysis Discerns Limitations in Motor Control in Children with Down Syndrome CCTSI Child and Maternal Health Pilot Grant Award. COMIRB # 10-0342. Role: Co-Investigator, in-kind, January 2010- 2012. This grant addresses impairments in motor control and should improve functional outcomes and help children with DS perform functional motor tasks with greater efficiency and success.

Harvan R (Team Leader). Interprofessional education. Association of Prevention Teaching and Research (APTR) and Dean’s Office (University of Colorado). Role: Team Member and PT Representative, August 2008-2009. This grant supported an interprofessional team of faculty to attend a workshop and plan for interprofessional education experiences for students on this campus.

Role: Faculty Investigator, $800, December 2007-November 2008; Faculty Investigator, $600, December 2008-November 2009. COMIRB 05-1082. This grant supported faculty who are conducting research and addressing some aspect of the scholarship of teaching and learning.
Other Research and Scholarly Activity
UC Denver AMC Integrated Longitudinal, Interprofessional Curriculum For the Health Professions. Funded by Colorado Health Foundation and by Josiah Macy Foundation for 36 months, $1.9 million project to create a longitudinal, interprofessional curriculum that is integrated into the preclinical and clinical training for all health professions students at the Anschutz Medical Campus. The curriculum will develop student competencies in teamwork, collaborative interprofessional practice, and quality and safety.
