The Internal Medicine Residency Training Program features multi-site training, specialized training for future outpatient based physicians, a unique curriculum in QI, patient safety and systems redesign and a physician scientist training program.

Our 2012 graduates are pursuing a variety of career options:

• 25% have secured fellowships
• 17% are starting primary care careers
• 52% will be hospitalists, many of whom will continue on to fellowships
• 6% will go on to private practice/other

Over the last five years, 50-60% of our graduating class have gone on to subspecialty fellowship training, approximately 20% have pursued primary care and 20% have pursued hospitalist occupations (several with plans to apply for fellowship after 1-2 years). Many residents elect to stay in Denver to pursue fellowship or to practice after graduation.
