Our GIM Division comprises about 160 full-time faculty at four closely affiliated institutions (University of Colorado Hospital, Denver Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Presbyterian-Saint Lukes Hospital and the Denver Health Medical System). Despite varied backgrounds and work sites, our Division functions well as a cohesive unit with shared educational and research enterprises and a shared belief in the importance of compassionate primary care as the cornerstone of medical education and practice. We are fortunate and proud of the fact that about 300 excellent community-based clinical faculty joins us in our educational efforts.
Our clinical programs include comprehensive care for adults with chronic illness, acute illness and age-based preventive health care. Our clinical providers join in collaboration with other specialist health care providers to improve the health of our patients. A number of our clinical sites offer specialized service to better meet patient care needs.
