This site features a searchable database cataloguing congressional members' responses to 15 questions on health and research issues.  The public may seach for a specific member by ZIP code, state, or name.  To date, nearly one-fourth of the current Congress has responded to the survey.  The Your Congress-Your Health initiative was created by Research! America and Albert and Mary Lasker Foundation to inform the public about their elected officials' position on research.  The AAMC is a supporting partner to the initiative.


Visit the online journal Education for Health published by The Network:  Towards Unity for Health.  Volume 20, Issue 3 inlcudes a special section on Poverty and Human Development -- part of a global initiative organized by the Council of Science Editors (CSE).  The goal of the CSE global theme issue is to stimulate interest and research in poverty and human development and disseminate the results of this research as widely as possible.

HRSA Bureau of Primary Care - for more than 40 years, HRSA-supported Health Centers have provided comprehensive, culturally competent, quality primary health care services to medically underserved communities and vulnerable populations.

Health centers are community-based and patient-directed organizations that serve populations with limited access to health care. These include low income populations, the uninsured, those with limited English proficiency, migrant and seasonal farmworkers, individuals and families experiencing homelessness, and those living in public housing.
