SCIENTIFIC WRITING WITH THE READER IN MIND: This half day session begins with a keynote address by Jean Kutner, MD, Professor of Medicine entitled: "Pitching Your Brilliant Ideas: Tips and Tricks." A variety of hands-on workshops/seminars will follow the group lecture. Participants will sign up in advance for two of three. Planned topics include: Dos and Don'ts of Proposal Writing, Giving Readers What They Want: Copyediting Clinic, and Clear & Compelling: Persuasive Scientific Writing. All sessions are interactive and are designed primarily for faculty, although postdocs, students and staff may register as well. Lunch is provided.
