Summer Undergraduate Multicultural Mentoring in Translational Science (SUMMiT)

Summit EventSUMMiT is a collaborative series designed to enhance summer undergraduate research programs by focusing on the unique needs of traditionally underrepresented students in science and research fields. Selected trainees will participate in targeted career development sessions held throughout the summer. In addition, the CCTSI will provide stipend support for qualifying candidates in many of the programs listed below to encourage and increase diversity across clinical translational disciplines.

"Career Development Lunch" Series

Presentation will be focusing on the importance of both networking and professionalism in relation to the scientific and research academic field. Participants will also have the opportunity to interact with other SUMMiT participants and make connections with peers from other summer programs.

Presentation/meet and greet session will be interactive, round table discussion format, focusing on various stages of the academic scientific path, as well as some professional opportunities in private/public sector. Participants will have the opportunity to interact with professionals at various stages and roles within academia and private/public sector positions.
Applying to Graduate School: Do's and Don'ts7/12/201911:30am - 1:00pm
Hensel Phelps Lecture Hall East, Anschutz Medical Campus
Presentation/panel will focus on applying to graduate school, what to consider through the process, do’s and don’ts, etc.
