VA Refund Holds

A VA Refund Hold has recently been placed on our student's accounts. The VA Refund Hold is placed to prevent refunds that create student VA debts in the case that the VA overpays. The hold will remain on your account until the VA payment is posted to your account and the payment has been verified as correct. If you are expecting a refund, please contact us AFTER the VA has paid so we can verify the payment and you can be refunded.

Tuition and Fees

The OVSS is currently submitting tuition and fees to the VA. It will take 3 to 4 weeks to submit tuition an fees for all of our students. Once the VA receives the Certification Amendment submitting tuition and fees, it can take between 3 to 8 weeks for the VA payment to be released and for payment to be posted to the student's account. For those students using Post 9-11 GI Bill benefits, late fees applied to your account will be reversed once the VA payment is posted, as long as your portion has been paid (for those who are less than 100% eligible). A Past Due Hold will be placed on all student accounts until the account is paid in full. Thank you for your patience!
