Jesse Christensen is a postdoc in Jennifer Stevens-Lapsley's lab and CU RESTORE lab in the Department of Physical Therapy. Jesse recently received a two-year advanced fellowship from the Denver Department of Veterans Affairs, Geriatric Research, Education, and Clinical Consortium.

Damian Guerra, PhD
Damian is a postdoc in K. Joseph Hurt's lab in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. His outstanding presentation scores from Postdoc Seminar Series have automatically qualified him to be an oral presenter at Postdoc Research Day!

Nabanita Mukherjee, PhD
Nabanita is a postdoc in the Department of Dermatology with Dr. David Norris and Dr. Yiqun Shellman. She recently received a promotion to transition into a Research Associate position! She has also presented her work at the 2018 International Investigative Dermatology Conference and had a manuscript accepted for publication in Nature Publishing Group's Cell Death and Disease.

Jayne Martin Carli, PhD
Dr. Martin Carli, a postdoc in the Friedman lab in the School of Medicine, makes her mark studying the link between maternal health and milk production. She recently secured a spot on a T32 training grant through the Dept. of Pediatrics and published two papers this summer: in the FASEB Journal in June, and in the Journal of Lipid Research in August.

Allison Porman, PhD
Dr. Porman, a postdoc in the Johnson lab in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics, studies the effect on the lncRNA HOTAIR on breast cancer metastasis. In addition to serving as president of the Anschutz Women in STEM group and coordinating the 500 Women Scientists Denver Pod, she was recently awarded a highly coveted Department of Defense postdoctoral fellowship.

Sam Li, PhD
Dr. Li, a postdoc in the labs of Brent Palmer and Catherine Lozupone in the Department of Allergy and Clinical Immunology, studies the effect of the guy microbiome on HIV transmission and gut disease. In October, Dr. Li gave a talk at the HIV Microbiome meeting at the National Institue of Allergy and Infectious Disease and recently submitted a manuscript for publication.

Swati Ghosh, PhD
Dr. Ghosh, a postdoc in the Sokol lab in the Department of Pediatrics, studies the effect of parental nutrition on liver cholestasis and inflammation. In November, Dr. Ghosh gave a talk at the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases Foundation, where she was recognized as a recipient of the 2018 Thomas D. Boyer "Outstanding Research in Basic Science by a Young Investigator" award.
