Young Hands in Science

Young Hands in Science is a K-12 science outreach organization started by postdocs in 2014 with AAAS funding. We bring hands-on activities to students in Aurora and Denver Public Schools to teach kids about forensics, ecology, homeostasis, and more. YHS is a great opportunity for CU scientists to gain teaching experience, help their local community, design new science activities, encourage students from diverse backgrounds to pursue science careers, make a 5-minute video of a science technique for our YouTube channel, and much more! To learn more, check out the YHS website or email
