Introduction to Polar Medicine

Summer 2016

Illulissat, Greenland

Join us for an unprecedented course in one of the most dramatic locations on the planet. Introduction to Polar Medicine will give you personal exposure to one of the most vulnerable communities to climate change and an intimate understanding of how this will threaten our health in the coming century.

With CU Denver School of Medicine faculty who are worldwide experts in the field, you will explore the link between climate change and human health firsthand. You’ll also learn hands-on wilderness medicine skills (WFA certificate for all participants) from our physicians.

CU SOM pre-med courses have been wildly successful giving students a ‘backstage pass’ into the world of clinical medicine -- this course promises to be our most innovative and popular offering yet!
