Collect Your Documents

Restrictions

If you will be turning 18 years old during the term you plan to attend, you may continue with your application. You must be 18 years old to apply. If you are younger than 18 and do not know if you can apply, please contact us at esl@ucdenver.edu​.

Digital Documents

In order to complete our online application, you must have the following documents in a digital format. Each document must be under 20 MB in size and clearly readable.

All Applicants

  • Passport Identification Page*
  • High School/College Transcripts*
  • Bank Statement(s) and/or Financial Guarantee Letter*
  • TOEFL Scores
  • IELTS Scores

Spouse & dependents

  • Passport Identification Page*

Transfer Applicants

  • Current I-20/DS-2019*
  • Health Insurance Card

* indicates a required document.

Submit your application online

After you collect your documents in a digital format, you may begin the online application. Once you complete this step the ESL Academy will contact you by email in 1-2 business days for a Skype interview or on-campus pre-testing.

Financial Guarantee

In order to receive your I-20 and visa, you will need to prove sufficient financial resources to study at the University of Colorado Denver. You will need to fill out the  Certification of Financial Resources form  and return it to the ESL Academy with a bank statement or current financial support letter in order to finish the application process.

Application Fee

Pay Your Application Fee

There is a $65.00 USD Application Fee due upon submission of your application. Conditionally admitted students to the University of Colorado Denver do not need to pay this fee. You will be directed to the application status page for you to pay the $65.00 USD Fee. Please contact us with any problems at esl@ucdenver.edu.  Pay Your Fee Now 

Refunds: The University of Colorado Denver does not provide refunds for Application Fees. Please be sure you read all instructions.

ESL Interview

ESL Interview

This is a great opportunity for prospective students who do not live in Denver to get to know more about the ESL Academy and the city. The ESL interview lasts 10-15 minutes. This allows us to get to know you, your goals and your English language skills. Our staff is available to speak with you Monday- Friday 9-5 (Colorado time). We look forward to speaking with you.

*This step can be bypassed if you submit high enough TOEFL or IELTS scores. Please submit your official score sheet for evaluation.

your I-20

Receive your I-20

When you complete all of these steps, we will send you your I-20 in 3-5 business days. (Business days do not include Saturday or Sunday.) You will receive an e-mail with the FedEx tracking number, or you can pick up your I-20 from the International Student & Scholar Services office.
