I was born and raised in New York, where I earned a BA in English Literature. My master’s degree in Teaching English as a Second Language is from the University of Hawaìi at Mānoa where I was also an East West Center affiliate. I have been in the field of international education either as an administrator or an ESL instructor since 1997. I love the challenge of preparing students for CU Denver. As founding director of the ESL Academy, I wanted to tailor English instruction to adult learners who appreciate academic life in a modern city. Nowadays, I’m passionate about cooking healthy food and having a healthy work-life balance.
"Academy students value the importance of learning English in the context of their university major. Using a curriculum that incorporates subject-specific vocabulary, themes, and genres gives them an edge over their peers."
