Once a year, CU Denver and the Anschutz Medical Campus in
hold the Research and Creative Arts Symposium in order to recognize and show
off research being done by students on those respective campuses.
UHL students attended the event as well. Arthur Boo (Biology
and Engineering, 2014) and Jennifer Mayo (English, 2013) had a poster about
their research project with Dr. Manuel Espinoza, “The Defense of Unusual,
Uncanny, and Grisly Texts”. Yumi Morii (Biology, 2013), Ashley Anderson
(Biology, 2013), and Rachel Ancar (Biology 2013) also had posters relating to
their science-based research.
The Research and Creative Arts Symposium also had local
middle school science fair winners with their posters on display. The event
showcased student work as well as promoted next year’s research by listing the
winners of the UROP grant.
