Project
C.U.R.E., or Commission of Urgent Relief and Equipment is an organization that
works with over 120 countries throughout the world in providing medical
equipment. Each week Project C.U.R.E receives donations from medical companies
and hospitals. These donations include sanitary equipment, wheelchairs, gloves,
masks and even large scale equipment. These products are then stored in
warehouses throughout the United States.
Project
C.U.R.E. relies on volunteers to sort through the equipment and pack them into
the designated boxes. Project C.U.R.E. also relies on corporate sponsors and
volunteers to then take the equipment to the countries that need the equipment
the most.
The first confirmed volunteering
date for Project C.U.R.E will be on Saturday February 2, 2013 from 9-12 sorting
at the Denver warehouse. Although this date is far into the future, more dates
may become available during the semester. If you would like to volunteer, check your UCD email account for the registration link . If you have
any other questions or comments please contact Cynthia Joseph at cynthia.joseph@ucdenver.edu
