Students will need access to the internet for online courses. High-speed internet, such as DSL or cable is strongly recommended. A minimum download speed of 1.5 Mbps is required for admission, which is commonly the speed associated with a basic DSL or a cellular/satellite connection. A faster connection, such as cable or fiber service, will further enhance your online experience. A Wi-Fi connection is generally acceptable, but is dependent upon one of the two services mentioned above.

Many online courses require the use of a camera and microphone (for video conferences, discussion posts, etc.). Therefore, make sure you have both of these items readily available on your laptop, PC, or mobile device.

You will need Flash Player in order to record video; therefore it is recommended that you install this software. Google Chrome already has Flash Player installed and updates the software automatically, when necessary. If you use a different browser other than Chrome, you may visit the Adobe site for downloading instructions.
