Teaching Activities:

Dr. Saseen teaches several components of the Entry Level and North American-Trained PharmD programs. In particular, he teaches on the topics of preventive cardiology (e.g., hypertension, dyslipidemia), rheumatology (rheumatoid arthritis, gout, osteoarthritis), cardiovascular complications of diabetes, and comprehensive pharmacotherapy cases. He is director of Pharmacotherapy 2 (PHRD 6085), Comprehensive Patient Care (PHRD 7650) and the new P4 Intersession course. He precepts post-graduate year 1 (PGY1) and PGY2 pharmacy residents in family medicine, and P2 students during their IPPE rotations. Clinical Service:

Dr. Saseen is a clinical pharmacy specialist in the Department of Family Medicine, which includes an ambulatory practice at the University of Colorado Stapleton (aka, A.F. Williams) Family Medicine Center and inpatient service at University of Colorado Hospital. These are clinical teaching site for the University of Colorado Family Medicine Residency Program. Clinical pharmacy services include: providing education for medical residents and other health care providers; participating in interdisciplinary Patient Centered Medical Home activities, and providing pharmacotherapy consultations.

Scholarly Activities:

Dr. Saseen participates in research related to pharmacotherapy (hypertension, dyslipidemia, gout) and has published research, review articles and textbook chapters related to these topics.

Professional Service:

Dr. Saseen was chair of the curriculum committee at the School of Pharmacy from 2007-2013 and is currently on the committee as the past chair. He is on the Board of Directors for the National Lipid Association and the Board of Pharmacy Specialties, and also is Director of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy Academy Career Advancement program.​
