Michaela Hasan graduated from the Skaggs School of Pharmacy & Pharmaceutical Sciences in 2012 with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree. Prior to starting her PGY1 year as a community pharmacy practice resident, she worked at an independent compounding pharmacy as a staff pharmacist in Denver. She was interested in the possibilities for initiating pharmaceutical clinical services, especially chronic disease state management, into the community pharmacy throughout her PharmD curriculum. She is looking forward to the opportunities this residency will provide in implementing and managing these services in a community pharmacy setting. In addition, she is excited about conducting research to support enhancing community pharmacy practice. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening, cooking, traveling and the numerous outdoor activities Colorado has to offer.
