As students participating in experiential education courses you should be given multiple opportunities to hone your skills in a variety of practice settings. Our program adheres to the guiding principles that experiential education should be based upon evidence-based teaching and learning strategies, striving to integrate students into exemplary, contemporary pharmacy practice sites and poising our graduates to be independent, competent, entry-level practitioners.
Students are additionally required to reflect on their experiences to develop the ability to self-assess performance and promote continuous quality improvement and life-long learning. Regardless of learning strategy, be it self-directed or group discussions, active engagement in patient care or observation of activities, continual assessment for the purposes of student and program quality improvement will occur throughout the four-year experiential curriculum.
