Every year, our students vaccinate thousands against the flu, help hundreds of seniors understand their medications, counsel Colorado’s youth about healthy foods and nutrition (link), fill thousands of prescriptions, prevent numerous medication errors in hospitals by reconciling prescriptions against doctor’s orders, and conduct blood pressure, cholesterol and osteoporosis screenings.
These services, made possible by our community partners – the Stout Street Clinic, elementary schools, preceptors, area hospitals and pharmacies -- help us create better pharmacists by providing hands-on learning opportunities.
