They are free resources available for professionals to access asynchronously - on their own time and at their own pace. Colorado Parent Mentoring Systems Navigation Modules
A series of modules for parents of children newly diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder provides a roadmap to understanding the systems that can provide the services and supports children with ASD and their family need.
Developmental Disability Training for First Responders
A one-hour online continuing education course has been developed to provide training to current EMTs and first responders. The course introduces the challenges of working with someone with a developmental disability. It also provides tools to help address these challenges. This training will be hosted online by University of Colorado Hospital and will be certified for one-hour of continuing education for all Colorado emergency medical technicians. It is also a resource for police and firefighter training.
Identification of Autism Spectrum Disorder in a School Setting
These modules are for school personnel seeking further knowledge about identifying the variety of unique features children with autism may display in school settings. The online modules are useful for those looking for new information or a refresher. Each module provides a certificate of completion that can be used for continuing education hours.
